The KenRadio RSS Feed now has caching. I am using the If-Modified-Since header to determine whether the full RSS file needs to be send or a “304 Not Modified” is sufficient thus conserving bandwidth. The LastModifiedTime is the upload time of the latest show. This step became necessary because now all shows in the RSS feed have an encoded content. But the whole thing only started to work once I used a response.clearheaders. Without it setting the LastModifiedTime does not work.

My favorite radio station is KenRadio. They make a great program talking about the latest and greatest technology news. The one thing that was missing though was an easy way to keep track of which shows you have seen… also, they have no RSS feed yet.

Having just fallen in love with RSS I just had to fix this. So in honor of Ken and Andy and their great work I created the world-first inofficial KenRadio RSS feed for them to see and their fans to enjoy. This feed gets automatically updated every time Ken puts a new show online.

Are you looking for something on this site but cannot seem to find it? I am busily cleaning up and retiring old stuff. So if I removed something you want to download or look at please comment and I will either send it to you or put it back on the site.
